Good baseball hitting drills consists of developing proper actions that make a swing short, strong and consistent. The one handed drill is one of my favorite drills to make sure your hand path has zero defects. My philosophy is this, if you can hit the ball consistently well with one hand both left and right hand then you should be able to CRUSH the ball with two hands! Also, you will likely need a smaller, lighter bat starting out. Swinging with one hand is more difficult than it looks and you will gain a tremendous amount of forearm strength performing this drill! You are now ready to perform this drill, which you will do so by taking as normal of a swing as you can at the ball.
Swing Set Chains
Chain By The Foot: Swing Chains | Swing Set Chains | AAA State of Play
Excerpted from Page, Frank, and Lardner. The sensorimotor system is linked neurologically through the afferent and efferent systems. In controlling movement, feedback and feed forward mechanisms provide a chain reaction of neuromuscular events. This provides both global and local stabilization of joints through muscular chains. These sensorimotor chains are affected by afferent input, controlled by the CNS, and realized through efferent motor output.
Getting back to basics: Five steps to building a better golf swing
Unfortunately, I get asked all the time whether someone needs new golf equipment or not. Most often, equipment is not the problem. So, think twice before you purchase a new flashy driver this year, I may just have a simple 10 minute fix that could save you from spending tons. Today, the question is what will give you the biggest return on your investments in your golf game.
Chain reaction is an intuitively simple concept, but one that allows for an incredibly complex and deep investigation into the relationship between cause and effect. In the Tinkering Studio, a chain reaction is always built as a collective contraption; each participant is given a chunk of real estate on a table onto which to build a sequence of events. The only constraint is that it has to set off the machine built by the next participant. In the end, this results in a continuous chain reaction that goes from start to finish seamlessly, with each section having been contributed by a different participant.
